Rituraj Gaikwad (born January 31, 1997) is an Indian cricketer. He made his debut for Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy in the 2016-17 season on October 6, 2016. He also represented Maharashtra in the Inter State Twenty-20 tournament on February 2, 2017. On February 25, 2017, he started his List A cricket journey for Maharashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016.

Rituraj Gaikwad was born on January 31, 1997, in Pune, Maharashtra. His father, Dasharath Gaikwad, worked with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), while his mother, Savita Gaikwad, is a teacher at a municipal school. According to Rituraj, his parents never pressured him to study excessively or play cricket less. He completed his early education at St. Joseph High School.

Career:

On February 2, 2017, Ruturaj Gaikwad made his Twenty20 debut for Maharashtra in the Inter-State Twenty-20 Tournament. He started his List A cricket career for Maharashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 25, 2017.

In 2023, he was chosen as the captain of Puneri Bappa, a Pune-based franchise in the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL), securing a contract worth ₹14.8 crore for three years. His leadership extended to international cricket as well, where he captained India in the T20I format at the 2022 Asian Games, leading the team to a gold medal, a historic achievement in Indian men’s cricket.
