She is an Indian actress who has worked predominantly in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films.
Born
Meghana was born on 3rd May 1990 in Bangalore Karnataka. She is the only daughter. Her father has acted in more than 180 films mostly in Kannada, and his mother Pramila Joshi is a noted actress and producer for Kannada.
Educational Qualifications
Meghana Raj did her schooling at Baldwin Girls’ High School, Bengaluru. She graduated from Christ University Bangalore and holds a degree in psychology.
Career
Meghana Raj acted as a child actor in a theatre play called Jokumaraswamy. She made her debut as a lead actress in a Telugu film in 2009 called Bendu Apparao RMP. She made her Kannada film debut in 2010 with the film name Punda.
In 2010 she also acted in a Tamil film called Kaadhal Solla Vandhen and made her debut through the film. She also did a Malayalam film named Yakshiyum Njanum. But initially, her movies didn’t have a big hit at the box office.
But in 2011 she acted in a Malayalam film named “Beautiful” which garnered her wide fame among the viewers. It was a Super-hit at the box-office.
Over the years from 2014-2019, she appeared in many films such as 100 Degree Celsius, Zebra Varakal, Iruvudellava Bittu, and Onti.
Meghana Raj Relationships / Marriage
She was having a decade-old relationship with the late Chiranjeevi Sarja. After that on 22nd October 2017, both of them got engaged with the presence of family.
She had a Christian and Hindu ceremony for her wedding with Chiranjeevi Sarja. She got married in a Christian wedding ceremony on 20th April 2018 at St. Anthony’s church in Koramangala.
While on 2nd May 2018 both Meghana and Chiranjeevi had a Hindu wedding ceremony.
While she was pregnant In 2020-2021. Chiranjeevi Sarja was feeling breathless and taken to the Apollo Hospitals in Jayanagar Bangalore, But he died due to a Cardiac Arrest.
