Amma Rajasekhar, also known as Arumugam Rajasekhar by birth name, was born in Chennai on 25th May 1979. He was known as Arumugam until he ventured into the film industry as a choreographer. He is married, and the couple is blessed with two children, a son, and a daughter.

Amma Rajasekhar started his career as a Choreographer. Earlier, he used to learn dance from Anthony Master’s friend and Tara Master.
He has worked as a Choreographer in various songs in Telugu films. After gaining recognition, he ventured into becoming a director. He made his debut as a director in the movie Khatarnak which was released in 2006. He directed many films such as Ugram, Koduran, Khiladi Dass, and Ranam.
He directed the Khiladi Dass, a Tamil film.
