Ramya Pandian is an Indian model and actress who has worked predominantly in Tamil Film and Television Industry. She was one of the Contestants in the Popular Reality show ‘Big Boss Tamil’ in season 4.

Ramya Pandian was born on 13th August 1990 in a middle-class family from Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. She completed her schooling at Pushpalata Matric Higher Secondary School in Tirunelveli. After that, she completed her graduation with B.E. Biomedical Engineering Degree from Anna University, Tamil Nadu. She has two siblings. An elder sister and a younger brother is a business Operation manager at Invenio Origin in the UAE. Ramya Pandian is the niece of Arun Pandian, an actor who has worked in Tamil Films.

Career:

After completing her graduation, Ramya worked as a research and development analyst at ‘Zifo Technologies in 2012. Later on, in the same company, she was promoted as a business development manager.

Ramya Pandian started her acting career by making her debut appearance as an actor in the short film named ‘Maane Theyne Ponmaane’ in 2015, which Shelley directed. Who was an Assistant director to famous Indian director Mani Ratnam?

Later on, she auditioned as a lead actor role in Balaji Sakthivel’s film, “Ra Ra Rajasekhar,” but for some reasons. The film didn’t materialize.

In 2015, Ramya made her big debut in a romantic Tamil film named ‘Dummy Tappasu’ as a lead role of Soumya. In the coming years, she acted in many Tamil movies such as ‘Malliga’ in ‘Joker’ movie which was released in 2016 and in the film named ‘Aan Devathai’as a’ mother’ who works in an IT company in 2018.

The critics and audiences much appreciated Ramya Pandian for playing a village belle in the movie Joker. The film Joker also won a national award in the best regional film category in 2017.

Ramya also debuted in the television industry as she participated in the reality show ‘Cook with Comali’ alongside Pugazh in 2019. She also participated as a contestant in Bigg boss Tamil season 4 in 2020.

Later on, Ramya acted in a Tamil Web series ‘Mugilan’ in 2020 alongside Karthik Raj. She also appeared as a judge in the Tamil reality show ‘Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru,’ Season ninth in 2020, which aired on Star Vijay Channel.
