Tahira Kashyap is an Indian Writer and Theatre Director. She is a former Professor from L.S Raheja College in Mumbai. Tahira is the wife of Well-known Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana

Born

Tahira Kashyap was born on 21st January 1983 in Chandigarh, India. She belongs to the Brahmin caste. Tahira completed her Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Career

Tahira was an active member of a theatre group during her college days. She even participated in the theatre groups outside her college as well in Chandigarh.
Later on, Tahira initially worked at Mithibai College, Mumbai as an Assistant Professor . After that, she worked at the R.D. National College and W.A. Science College.

Tahira also worked as a Professor at L S Raheja College in Mumbai as well.
Tahira was also the Programming head at the Big 92.7FM.

She debuted as a Writer in 2011 by writing a novel titled A Promise—a Story of Love And Deceit, Which App Publishers released.
Tahira also published her second book titled “Souled Out” in 2012, which Pustak Mahal published.
She and her husband Ayushmann co-authored his Biography, “Cracking the Code: A Journey to Bollywood,” published by Rupa Publications India on 15th February 2015.

Tahira also directed a short film, “Toffee,” in 2018.
Her latest book she wrote was “The 12 Commandments Of Being A Woman”.

Relationships

Tahira met Ayushmann Khurrana during her tuition class in Twelfth Standard. Soon love started to blossom between them during her relationship with Ayushmann. Ayushmann promised her that he would marry her in the future.

After a courtship of 12 years, Tahira got married to Ayushmann in 2011. They both are blessed with two children. In their married life, they both had ups and downs. In one of the interviews, Tahira revealed that during Ayushmann’s debut release. Both were going through a rough patch.

There were times when she wanted to give up on her marriage. But her husband didn’t give up as there was some disconnection. Between them during the initial years of marriage. As both were evolving in their respective Careers.

Later on, in September 2018. Tahira was diagnosed with Breast cancer. It was her husband who was worried about her health and recommended various tests. With the results, they came to know that she has stage 0 breast Cancer during this challenging period. Tahira was strong as her husband was supporting and taking care of her as a Companion. They went through this turmoil. Tahira also posted about her disease on social media platforms such as Instagram.
However, her husband confirmed some months later. That she was Cancer-free in News and let the world know Tahira was doing well.
